Position in Forsyth-Edwards Notation (FEN)
Moves: 1. g4 Na6

1...Na6?!

[edit | edit source]

This move doesn't do anything to help Black's position, but rather hurts it. The knight on a6 is not doing anything important or attacking White's weak kingside. White can develop with 2. Nf3, 2. Bg2, or take the center with 2. d4, 2. e4.
